US Ambassador’s duties extended to ECOWAS Commission

The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, James F. Entwistle, was, on Thursday, accredited as US’s Representative to the Commission of the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS).

His credentials were received by ECOWAS Commission President, Kadré Desiré Ouedraogo in a brief ceremony at the commission’s headquarters, Abuja.

assured him that the United States would remain a committed partner of ECOWAS.

In his remarks, the ECOWAS commission’s president expressed his gratitude to the United States for the strong cooperation between the United States and the organisation.
