Chelsea Close In On £12m Zouma Deal

Chelsea are close to completing a £12m move for 19-year-old St Etienne defender Kurt Zouma.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho sees the France Under-20 international as one of the Europe’s brightest young prospects.

But rather than ask Zouma to move to London immediately, Mourinho will loan Zouma back to the French club for the rest of the season.

St Etienne president Roland Romeyer had previously insisted the player would not move in the transfer window.
